The Alabama State Department of Education, Teaching and Leading (T&L) Section, Montgomery, intends to fill one (1) part-time, Retired State Employee (RSE) position. The Teaching and Leading Section intends to fill the position to provide support, monitoring, technical assistance, and data management for Educator Preparation and Alabama’s EPPs and A.T.P.O.s. Extensive travel may be required.
Duties of RSE may include, but are not be limited to one or more of the following:
- Collaborate with Alabama Education Preparation Providers (EPPs) and other higher education stakeholders to update and maintain the Education Preparation Chapter of the Alabama Administrative Code.
- Assist with EPPs fully developing, implementing, and maintaining the Educator Preparation program.
- Assist with the continuous improvement reviews for each of Alabama’s EPPs.
- Participate and attend all training programs provided by the ALSDE intended to support the scope of the assigned position.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- A minimum of a Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university is required.
Experience:
- A minimum of five (5) years of collegiate experience required.
- Experience in working with accreditation required.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent speaking and presentation skills.
- Ability to create and present ideas in a variety of formats.
