Salary Range: Hourly Rate- All Post Retirement Rules Apply

Position Location: Montgomery, Alabama

The Child Nutrition Programs section of the Alabama State Department of Education in Montgomery is seeking to hire eleven (11) part-time Retired State Employee positions.

Duties will include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Receiving and monitoring Administrative Review (AR) material
  • Distribute SFA materials to Audit and Program Staff
  • Monitor AR reports to meet USDA compliance requirements to post audit findings
  • Oversees and prepares for training workshops and conferences as identified by the Administrator or Program Coordinator for all nutrition sponsoring agencies
  • Prepares training materials and presents at workshops and webinars as assigned by the Administrator
  • Provides technical assistance to local education agencies

Education:

  • Master’s Degree required

Experience:

  • Strong verbal, written, communication, and technology skills
  • Attitude of professionalism and ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders including ALSDE colleagues

  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organization and data management skills
  • Strong motivational skills
  • Ability to work on multiple assignments concurrently

  • Ability to travel overnight in-state
