Public Comment – One Percent Waiver Submission
The ALSDE will notify the public and any interested local educational agency (LEA) of the public comment review period through a media release memo. The Alabama 1.0 Percent Waiver Request 2024-2025 for ELA, Mathematics, and Science will be posted in complete draft format to the Public Comments Page on the Alabama Achieves.
The public comment period dates for posting the 1.0 Percent Waiver request are December 16, 2024, through January 10, 2025.

Public Comment Proposed Alabama Budget Application and Interactive Spreadsheet for Idea Part B
Public Notice and Comment Period for public comments to Alabama’s proposed state application under Part B of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) for Part B and Preschool funds for Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2024/Alabama Fiscal Year (AL FY) 2025, school year (SY) 2024-2025, from March 21, 2024, through April 21, 2024. The application is available for review for 60 days (March 21, 2024-May 21, 2024). Written public comments on the Alabama Part B Application for FFY 2024/AL FY 2025 will be accepted by the Special Education Services Section for 30 calendar days, as federal law requires (March 21 through April 21, 2024). The deadline for written comments from the public is April 21, 2024.
